FreeAhead personnel have been responsible for the evaluation, design, and system implementation oversight of dozens of traffic signals both in the United States and internationally. 

Our signal system experience includes the design of totally new replacement systems, expansion of existing systems, and the upgrade and replacement of various components of legacy control systems.  We have worked with over 30 agencies to develop optimized signal timing plans for over 5,500 intersections.

FreeAhead can perform feasibility studies for new or replacement systems, assess existing system capabilities, develop PS&E, and provide program management and technical assistance during system implementation.  Our staff is well versed in all of the major signal optimization and simulation software tools including Synchro, TRANSYT-7F, PASSER and VISSIM to analyze or optimize your system operation.
